The TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP launched in July 2021 brought a revolution in the Nepali Indian scooter segment. It is the most powerful 125cc scooter that boasts over 10PS of power. Besides, the new Race XP is the fifth variant of Ntorq. The new TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP is also the most expensive scooter in this range. It features the same old panel, engine, suspension, and brakes as the other variants.
TVS Ntorq Race XP Design
The new TVS Ntorq Race XP flaunts the same bodywork as other Ntorq variants. In addition, it also includes the beautiful LED headlight from the race edition. The gleaming color and blaring graphics help us identify the new XP version from other Ntorq models. Besides, you also get rakish red wheels and a red engine cooling fan. However, if you don’t fancy this combination, you are undoubtedly out of luck because there are no other color options.
What’s New with the Engine?
The Ntorq has always been a feature-centric scooter. Therefore, the vehicle brags luring functionalities like Bluetooth connectivity and voice assistance. It allows you to pair your device and let your scooter listen to you. Likewise, you can also give voice commands to the scooter using headphones or earphones and perform several tasks. For example, you can navigate locations, change the console’s brightness, or even change riding modes.
The vehicle has two riding modes, the Street and the Race mode. As the name goes, the street mode is focused more on fuel efficiency and performance. It helps the scooter go through the busy traffics as a hot knife goes through the butter. On the other hand, the race mode prioritizes acceleration.
In addition, TVS Ntorq Race XP has an under-seat LED headlight, USB charging port, and external filler, making it one of the best scooters of 2021.
TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP Performance
The BS6 version of Ntorq is super-fast, and you will instantly feel the better performance the moment you twist the throttle. Even in the street mode, the vehicle is significantly swifter. In Race mode, the Ntorq is unstoppable and one of Nepal’s fastest accelerating scooters.
The precise throttle response helps you quickly close the gap in traffic. Similarly, you can quickly get a highway speed if you pin the throttle. And even if the RPM is at its peak at this point, you will not feel noticeable vibrations.
Moving on to fuel efficiency, TVS Ntorq Race XP offers 46.45kpl mileage in street mode. The number is not exceedingly tempting, but taking other 125cc scooters under consideration is still a fair deal. However, the number increases prominently to 55kpl if you ride it on highways.
TVS Ntorq 125 Ride and Handling
TVS has reduced the weight by 2kgs in the new TVS Ntorq Race XP by using lighter materials. Besides, it also has a comfortable suspension, although the rear shock lies a bit towards the stiffer side. This certainly makes the riding quality uncomfortable.
Having said that, Ntorq has never fallen out of the list of the best-handling scooters. Moreover, you will still feel confident and sure-footed while cornering. Similarly, the dynamics of TVS Ntorq Race XP lies below the sturdy tyres and 12-inch wheels at both ends.
Braking’s performance is impressive and entirely up to par. It features one of the most powerful front disc brakes and has the shortest stopping distances.
