Powering the Apache RTR 200 4V is a robust 197.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine with an oil cooler. In Sport mode, it delivers an impressive output of 20.82PS of power and 17.25Nm of torque. However, in Urban and Rain modes, the output is slightly lower, restricted to 17.32PS at 7800 rpm and 16.51Nm at 5750 rpm, respectively. The engine is paired with a 5-speed transmission for smooth gear shifts.

The “Glide Through Traffic” feature is a valuable addition, particularly when maneuvering through congested roads. The bike’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU) adjusts the revs slightly to prevent sudden halts, providing a smoother and more convenient riding experience. This feature is similar to what is found on Suzuki’s larger-capacity motorcycles.

In terms of suspension and brakes, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V boasts several segment-first features. It is equipped with a preload-adjustable Showa telescopic front fork and a rear Showa mono-shock. The braking system consists of a 270mm front petal disc and a 240mm rear petal disc, available with either dual-channel or single-channel ABS options. TVS also offers an optional radial tire for the rear, further enhancing the bike’s performance capabilities.
