With the growing competition among mobile manufacturers, there is no scantiness of mid-range devices in the market now. Similarly, the widening brand of Oppo has taken a fascinating step with the release of Oppo Reno 4 Pro.

Mobile phones with arrays of the camera are no more tempting to the audience; all thanks to the contemporary scheme of the manufacturers. However, the new Oppo device offers you a 65W fast charger, the obsolete 3.5mm jack with a beautiful design, and a decent performance. Read the complete review to know more about this device.

Decent Design

Oppo Reno 4 Pro

Surprisingly, Oppo has taken a menacing step by using a plastic body and we can say that it is an awful decision. However, the plastic housing has significantly reduced the weight of the device. The 161gm Reno 4 Pro is comfortable to carry and fits snuggly on your palm. Likewise, the matte touches on the body allow you to have a stronghold of the device.

Unlike glossy devices, it doesn’t attract any fingerprints and smudges. The array of 4 rear cameras remain vertically on the top left corner. The rear of the device looks classic with a decent Oppo logo on the bottom corner.

Talking about the front, the new Reno 4 Pro looks exceptionally beautiful. A slender bezel runs around the gigantic 6.5-inch display. The display has no buttons but a small camera punch-hole on the top-left corner. The right panel includes a clicky power button and a volume rocker. The volume rocker lies quite close to the display and is very uncomfortable to use. Similarly, you can see the Type-C port and the 3.5mm jack on the bottom edge.

Tempting Features of Oppo Reno 4 Pro

The enticing 6.5-inch AMOLED display panel generates a sharp resolution of 1080 X 2400 pixels with 409PPI pixel density. The color is very dynamic with proper saturation and more vibrant. The company taunts that the device brags a peak brightness of 790nits. It brags a 90Hz refresh rate. Most importantly, the strong Gorilla Glass 5 protects the enormous display.

Besides, the new Oppo Reno 4 Pro runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G. Although it is not the present-day chipset, it is a fair deal for mobile of this price. Moreover, superior software optimization will not let you face any lags.

Oppo Reno 4 Pro

Having said that, the Reno 4 Pro is not an optimum choice for gamers. It runs almost all the well-known games but shows some teeny-weeny laggings. The battery is the most luring part of this device. It incorporates the 4000mAh battery that will easily last for 24hours. More to that, it comes with the 65W fast charger. It can charge the device from 0-100 under 35minutes.

Oppo Reno 4 Pro Camera

Oppo Reno 4 Pro

Like most of the mid-range devices, Reno 4 Pro includes standard and wide-angle cameras. We don’t see the telephoto lens in this device which is common in any economic device. The Oppo Reno 4 Pro has a quad-camera module.

The 48MP sensor with f/1.7 is the primary camera. We can see preferable detailing and color depth in the pictures from this lens. The main sensor is accompanied by the 8MP f/2.2 wide-angle sensor. It does a satisfactory job of taking expansive landscapes.

Likewise, the 2MP macro sensor and the 2MP depth sensor also deliver a preferable outcome. These lenses are very useful for beautifying your photography

Our Verdict

The new Oppo Reno 4 Pro costs Rs.56,000 in Nepal. It packs the Snapdragon 720G chipset, 4000mAh battery, and the quad-camera module. So, should you buy the new Oppo Reno 4 Pro? Our answer to this question is, “Yes”. But it is so if you are looking for a mid-range device with satisfactory functions and functionalities. Similarly, if you want to overcome the problem of slow charging then we highly recommend this device to you.

However, if you want to buy a device, mainly for gaming purposes, this is just not for you. As said earlier, it is a powerful device but if you want to spend hours playing games on this device, this will certainly disappoint you in the long run. For gaming purposes, the newly released Asus Rog Phone 3 will be a better choice.
