After the release of OnePlus 8 pro, the brand disregarded its famous slogan of “flagship killer”. However, people who are not comfortable with its price are in depths of despair. But, the new OnePlus Nord with its top tier performance and inexpensive rate have been aspiring people after its introduction. One plus has stepped up once again to give the well-known brands a tough competition.

WHAT’S NEW IN THE ONEPLUS NORD?

OnePlus Nord brags the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 octa-core processor. The device with 8 GBs of RAM and 128GB of storage sits below Rs.70000. Likewise, other higher-end devices like Galaxy s20 and iPhone 11 has a price tag of Rs.1,00,000. The smartphone is certain to be a big hit among the people who want to experience top tier features.

The device incorporates a 6.44-inches bezel-less gigantic AMOLED display. It generates a crisp resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with a 90Hz refresh rate. Similarly, the in-screen fingerprint scanner is preferably sensitive and swift. Besides, the Nord packs the quad-camera array. The 48MP Sony IMX586 is the primary camera. It is accompanied by the 5MP depth sensor, 2MP macro camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. All these cameras give hand to hand competition to all the high-end devices. There are several luring camera modes like portrait, nightscape, and many more.

PREMIUM DESIGN

The new OnePlus Nord looks as premium as the OnePlus 8 pro. The sleek metal frame body can be used single-handedly. The sturdy Gorilla glass protects the gigantic screen. The 184gm device has a measurement of 158.3 x 73.3 x 8.2mm. The tactile power key along with the alert slider lies on the right panel. Likewise, the volume rocker sits on the right side. The bottom edge is filled with Type-C port and speaker. Sadly, the 3.5mm jack is discarded like in the OnePlus 8.

ONEPLUS NORD PRICE IN NEPAL AND ALTERNATES

The 8GB Nord with 128 GBs of onboard storage comes with two different colors, The Blue Marble and the Gray Onyx. Both of the colors have a matte finish with a touch of shininess which makes it gorgeous. The baseline model packs 6GB of RAM with 64GB of ROM. This variant costs Rs.40,000 in Nepal. Similarly, the mid-range alternate costs Rs.45,000. This alternate has a memory of 8GB and 128GB of storage. The most expensive variant carries a price tag of Rs.50,000 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The sleek device should look nice with all the case line ups.

OUR VERDICT

The new OnePlus Nord has a better battery life of 4115mAh. Besides, it comes with a 30W fast charger that can charge your device from 0-70 under 30minutes. We should not contemplate about the unavailability of wireless charging facility. Although the OnePlus 8 has all the present-day features and brags better design, it comes at a significantly higher price starting at Rs.110000. Indeed it is the most expensive phone of One Plus until today. While that is still a great deal to seal, its cost is much higher than that of 7t. On this note, I would certainly put my bet on the OnePlus Nord.
