After attaining a remarkable feat with the beautiful OnePlus 9R, the company has again come up with its inheritor, the OnePlus 9RT. The Chinese brand has moved on from the Hydrogen/Oxygen OS and has incorporated the Color OS. Including a big screen, beautiful design, and a powerful battery, the device is set to achieve a great height of success. Besides, the new UI has better features and is more localized.
OnePlus 9RT Design
The descendent of the OnePlus 9RT holds the look of the OnePlus 9. It gives a continuation to the traditional OnePlus design but lacks a bit of originality. The silver 9RT looks like a varnished ceramic material that doesn’t catch fingerprints and smudges. Similarly, the 200g device with a curved frame is extensively comfortable to hold and use single-handedly.
The new OnePlus 9RT includes NFC and dual stereo speakers that generate a pleasing and resonant sound with good bass. In addition, the screen and the size of the device have become more prominent. Besides, the addition of sub-pixels has significantly improved the sharpness of fonts.
Having said that, the major downside of the OnePlus 9RT is the larger bottom bezel which makes the rainbow effect noticeable. To be honest, the overall display of the device is a bit of a step backward in contrast to the prior OnePlus 9R.
OnePlus 9RT Performance
OnePlus 9RT features the Snapdragon 888, and the system is set up around the Color OS 12. Further, the device has a better game optimization, with an in-game touch sampling rate of up to 600Hz. It also averages an FPS of 88 while playing graphically demanding games like PubG. Likewise, it also includes the “Ultra Steady frame mode.”
Talking about the display, the expansive 6.62 inch Samsung E4 AMOLED screen generates a crisp resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 1300nits. Furthermore, it also incorporates features like HDR10+, dual front, and rear light sensing.
Camera
The significant improvement from OnePlus is seen on the camera, and the primary camera is improved from IMX586 to IMX766. It also has an excellent dynamic range and performs extensively well in the daytime. In addition, you can see fine detailing with proper color saturation from the 50megapixel primary sensor.
Similarly, the OnePlus 9RT packs a 16megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture that lets you take expansive landscapes. Following it is the 2megapixel telephoto sensors with f/2.4 aperture. But, again, the depth lens work wonders when it comes to the background blur effect.
Apart from the rear cameras, the device also includes a 16MP selfie camera that takes excellent selfies. Similarly, it also captures good quality videos at 1080pixel at 30FPS.
Battery Life and Fast Charging
The new OnePlus 9RT includes a 4500mAh battery and comes out of the box with a 65W fast charger. It takes near around 30minutes to charge the device from 0 to 100% and just 10minutes to reach a 50% mark. The figure is prominently sufficient to cope with daily use.
