OPPO A52 DESIGN

To swamp the likes of OnePlus and Redmi, OPPO has manufactured the new A52 with all the newest technologies and design. The device flaunts a super-thin bezel, running around the gigantic 6.5-inch display. The 8-megapixel selfie camera resides on the small hole-punch, in the top left corner of the screen. The camera placement is quite self-effacing but the picture quality is not quite satisfactory.

The power button along with the fingerprint sensor lies on the right panel of the device. The tactile volume rocker and the triple slot sim tray resides on the left panel. Like any other contemporary devices, the 3.5mm jack, Type-C port, and the speaker live in the bottom panel. However, the dual sim and memory card cannot be used at the same time.

The plastic panel with glossy touch looks good. The only snag of the rear plastic panel is that it attracts a lot of fingerprints but if you are using a case then it will not be a problem.

The new smartphone incorporates the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that generates a preferable resolution of 1080 X 2400 and 405 PPI density. Likewise, smartphone runs the Android 10 operating system with ColorOS 7.1 UI. The Qualcomm SM6125 Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor makes no dearth of speed.

The OPPO A52 comes with a quad-camera setup. The primary 12MP wide-angle camera gives you better white balance control and allows you to capture the expansive landscapes. Similarly, the 8MP ultra-wide sensor and the 2MP macro sensor gives satisfactory outcomes. The 2MP depth sensor aids you in detecting the real-time depth information, to get the proper bokeh effect in the images. The selfie camera has also been improved with better color, contrast, and details.

OPPO A52 PRICE IN NEPAL

OPPO introduced the A52 with two variants. The starting version brags a 4GB of memory and 64GB of internal storage. Boasting all these attractive features, the OPPO A52 starting price in Nepal is Rs.22,000. The superior alternative that is packed with a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs.28,000. The figure for both the alternatives seems to be a good bargain.

OUR VERDICT

Comprehensively, the new OPPO A52 represents good value for the money. The 5000mA.h battery, the quad-camera setup, and the inexpensive price tag looks quite enticing. Having said that, the camera software did not meet our expectations. If you are seeking a mid-range device with a better camera, then Samsung M21 will be a good choice for you. Also, for the price of Rs.27,000, OPPO should have incorporated the Snapdragon 700 series processor.
